Barbara has extensive experience as a jazz/pop vocal performer both in Milwaukee and regional areas. Beginning to perform at age 13 with her jazz-guitarist father, she started out learning the styles of Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington. She then went on to perform with large show bands mastering the styles of R&B, rock, funk and pop music.
Barbara can pass on this knowledge of jazz and pop music along with good vocal technique, handling a microphone and other things you need to know about getting into a top-notch band. She currently performs in her own jazz/funk/blues band, The Barbara Stephan Group.
